Introduction by Eckhart Tolle
Spiritual Awakening Through The Body
Simple Body-Based Practices to Help You Experience the Peace and Aliveness of the Now
Our bodies are more than just a physical form. They can also be a portal into a new way of being in the world. With Presence Through Movement: Qi Flow Yoga, Kim Eng teaches us how to access the formless dimension within that connects us to the depths of this very moment.
Using simple practices like “Whole-body Breathing”, “Shaking”, and “Holding the Qi Ball”, you will learn how to clear, cultivate and circulate vital energy throughout your entire body.
Join Kim in a serene garden setting as she gently instructs you in more than a dozen different postures and flows that developed intuitively during her own process of awakening including:
• The Bamboo Tree, a grounding posture to help you embody emptiness and stillness
• Chakra-based exercises to help you sense, clear, and rejuvenate your energy field
• Qi Flow, a short daily practice for stimulating the spiritual energy of awakening
"As you begin learning these conscious movements, you will awaken your whole being to the transformational power of the present moment," teaches Kim.
Now with Presence Through Movement: Chi Flow Yoga, she shares a creative and relaxing way to experience our inherent aliveness and inner peace.
Kim Eng is a counsellor and spiritual teacher whose Presence Through Movement workshops focus on the integration of mind, body, and spirit.
As Eckhart Tolle’s teaching partner, she has helped translate his ideas into a structured practice. She is the author of Meditations for a New Earth.
"In October, I had the pleasure of attending Kim Eng's weekend workshop -- 'Meditations for A New Earth'. I did not know exactly what to expect, although I had previously heard about Kim's unique approach to movement which involves combining Yin-Yoga, Tai-Chi and Qi-Gong into her teaching practice.
To my delight, the movements were very simple, gentle, and easy to learn. I found myself letting loose, becoming relaxed, calm, and embracing inner stillness. As Kim guided us through the movements, I noticed the sensations that were occurring within my physical body. As I became aware of these sensations, I was able to notice them not as a source of discontent, but simply as sensations.
The workshop provided time for movement as well as time for relaxation, meditation, and interaction. I found that her unique blend of disciplines allowed for participants to experience a variety of movements within one workshop. Kim promotes a fun, relaxed atmosphere in which one can really let go of constant thought and become present with the body." - Natalie SchreiberIn
