Discover the four questions that will forever transform life's journey. No matter how much money, status, professional success, or other types of external security one may have, very few people experience true joy and personal freedom. Byron Katie knows this reality too well. In the midst of a "normal and successful" life, Katie became increasingly depressed, and over a ten-year period sank further into rage and despair. Then, one morning in 1986, out of the blue, she had a sudden, profound insight into how the mind works. As a result, a bedridden, suicidal woman became filled with love for everything life brings. Katie developed a simple yet powerful method of inquiry, called The Work, that helped make this transformation practical. In this program, you will learn how to use The Work for yourself. You'll discover that, contrary to popular belief, trying to let go of a painful thought never works; instead, once you have investigated it, the thought lets go of you. The Work's four powerful questions and turnaround (which is a way of experiencing the opposite of what you believe) have transformed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world. In "Your Inner Awakening" Byron Katie will teach you this revolutionary process so that you can use it to question and undo any stressful thought that keeps you from experiencing mental clarity. Eventually you may find, as so many others have, that peace and joy flow into every area of your life. As Eckhart Tolle, author of "The Power of Now" says, "Byron Katie's Work acts like a razor-sharp sword that cuts through illusions and enables you to know for yourself the timeless essence of your being." In Loving What Is, bestselling author Byron Katie introduced thousands of people to her simple and profound method of finding happiness through questioning the mind. Now, I Need Your Love—Is That True? examines a universal, age-old source of anxiety: our relationships with others. In this groundbreaking book, Katie helps you question everything you have been taught to do to gain love and approval. In doing this, you discover how to find genuine love and connection. The usual advice offered in self-help books and reinforced by our culture advocates a stressful, all-consuming quest for love and approval. We are advised to learn self-marketing and manipulative skills—how to attract, impress, seduce, and often pretend to be something we aren’t. This approach doesn’t work. It leaves millions of walking wounded—those who, having failed to find love or appreciation, blame themselves and conclude that they are unworthy of love. I Need Your Love—Is That True? helps you illuminate every area in your life where you seem to lack what you long for most—the love of your spouse, the respect of your child, a lover’s tenderness, or the esteem of your boss. Through its penetrating inquiry, you will quickly discover the falseness of the accepted ways of seeking love and approval, and also of the mythology that equates love with need. Using the method in this book, you will inquire into painful beliefs that you’ve based your whole life on—and be delighted to see them evaporate. Katie shows you how unraveling the knots in the search for love, approval, and appreciation brings real love and puts you in charge of your own happiness.

As recommended by Oprah Winfrey for her Book Club, March -- May 2008. Building on the astonishing success of The Power of Now, Eckhart Tolle presents readers with an honest look at the current state of humanity: He implores us to see and accept that this state, which is based on an erroneous identification with the egoic mind, is one of dangerous insanity. Tolle tells us there is good news, however. There is an alternative to this potentially dire situation. Humanity now, perhaps more than in any previous time, has an opportunity to create a new, saner, more loving world. This will involve a radical inner leap from the current egoic consciousness to an entirely new one. In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are-which is something infinitely greater than anything we currently think we are -- and learn to live and breathe freely.
Do you want to remain a spiritual seeker your whole life? Or do you want to find what it is you're after, once and for all? It is possible, teaches Eckhart Tolle, if you learn to consider everything happening around you an ally. So begins Through the Open Door, Eckhart Tolle's new invitation to step into the beauty, vitality, and vastness of Being -- not by striving for some faraway goal or trick of the mind to aid you on your "spiritual search" -- but through the continual embrace of the Now. This two-part teaching session with Eckhart explores:
Whether you've touched upon the profound insights of Eckhart's earlier teachings or are hearing him for the first time, here is your opportunity to immerse yourself in the newest turning of his "pointing instructions" -- away from the hopes and fears of past and future, and toward "the ultimate in liberation ... to know yourself as life."

Stillness Amidst the World
4 x CD. Running Time: 4 hours
When Eckhart came to Findhorn, true magic happened, and the whole weekend was professionally recorded on video and edited down to create a deeply moving experience for viewers. From his opening words on, every sentence has a unique vision and power. His words, spoken quietly and slowly, can deeply affect our lives. He gives us simple tools for transformation — the clear guidance we need to deeply realize the magic of every moment. The main topic of Eckhart’s talk at the retreat is stillness. Stillness offers a doorway into the Now and to true personal enlightenment. Too often we become trapped in our mind-created sense of self. Eckhart explains how compulsive our thoughts become as we analyze, interpret, and label every conscious experience we have. In such a state we can no longer perceive the sacredness in ourselves and in that of the natural world around us. Our experience of life becomes nothing but a never-ending reel of thoughts, opinions, and viewpoints. Eckhart’s light-hearted delivery provides sparkling highlights to the wonderful wisdom he shares with us. It is a simple and profound message of hope. We find stillness in the present moment — in the Now. When we enter this deeper dimension that lies dormant in each one of us, we find peace. Stillness reconnects us to the sacredness of life and of being. That is why we are here — to deepen our awareness of the sacred in life. His words are words to be listened to deeply and repeatedly. Eckhart Tolle is truly one of the world’s greatest guiding lights, offering us serene sanity in a mad world.
In simple language and with quiet humour, Eckhart Tolle explores the powerful mystery of who we are. On this 3xCD album, Eckhart begins his talk by presenting the problem we face as human beings: Almost all of us have created a rigid sense of identity based on our history, our mental interpretations, and our memories of the past. It is who we think we are, "our story," and we constantly support it with endless thoughts in habitual patterns. Yet our story -- what Eckhart calls "the little me" is not the truth of who we are. All we truly have is the present moment, and in this moment we are far more than we think: we are in fact part of a great, mysterious whole. Words cannot describe it, because it is beyond the mental stream of our thoughts, which contains all our words. We become aware of this great reality when we let our thoughts go. In those moments, we can achieve the transcendent state so many of us long for, a state of being that goes beyond all the problems we encounter. More and more people are discovering this state of being, in what Eckhart calls "the flowering of consciousness." It is available to anyone at any time. Listen closely, and Eckhart will take you there. Lesson contained in this series

Living a Life of Inner Peace is a recording of one of Eckhart's most moving, transformative talks. The talk is relaxed and funny, and he conveys his message through stories and insightful observation. Eckhart makes us laugh at ourselves - while helping us break through habitual thinking to discover the eternal presence of the Now. When you listen, you discover that something deeper is happening beyond the words being spoken. A field of alert stillness arises where before there was mental noise. You find yourself in what Eckhart calls a state of presence - and it can lead to a dramatic transformation in the way you live your life. Reality -- life -- and the present moment are one! This statement is not to be thought about. It is to be lived! The Now, as Eckhart in his gifted way explains, is beyond the limits of thought and the "form" that this moment takes. The Ultimate Reality cannot be fully understood with the mind. But you can align yourself with it. In Eckhart's own words, "You are the Now." In this series that takes the introductory teachings to a deeper level, you will learn to access the power of Now and live a life of inner peace and harmony. For those new to Eckhart's teachings, this is an ideal introduction. For those familiar with his work, be prepared for something fresh and extraordinary.

When Eckhart agreed to be interviewed on September 11, 2001, he could not foresee the historic nature of this date or the suffering that would follow. As the day’s events unfolded, in real time, he responded with a calm and clear voice, helping to make sense out of the fear and chaos that will forever define this date. Even the Sun Will Die documents this historic meeting with Eckhart and the comforting wisdom he revealed that day. We live in a time, he says, when we define ourselves through our enemies; and science and technology are in the service of human madness. Yet even in the face of disaster, a miracle happens when we say “yes” to living in this moment and no other. This “great opening,” he teaches, can serve as nothing less than the beginning of a revolution in human consciousness with the potential to transform our world and everyone in it. Eckhart comments on his own awakening, and what he sees as the next step in human evolution. From insights into the way out of suffering, to evidence that a new consciousness is already rising, Even the Sun Will Die confirms Eckhart Tolle’s place among the most important and accessible spiritual teachers of our time. $47.95
Eckhart explores our highest purpose in life -- and how meditation can help us attain it -- with The Realization of Being. “Words are useful signposts,” Eckhart begins, but our main spiritual teacher is stillness. This powerful energy field is always available to us through meditation. In simple language he explains how to “listen with your entire body,” while working with the body, mind, and attention in order to “merge with this moment.” As we go beyond the need for thought, he teaches, we achieve the meditative state of “no mind” or “presence” that is effortless, joyful, and natural. Through this timeless path we merge with the universal purpose, and become a divine presence. A revolution in human consciousness has already started, Eckhart teaches. We can advance this revolution -- now -- with the help of The Realization of Being. 2 x CDs $45.95

This long-awaited second book by renowned spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle provides a "going deeper" into the teaching already so eloquently and clearly expressed in his first book The Power of Now. Although the teaching takes on new depth, added dimensions and specific focuses, it is even easier to grasp since Eckhart writes in short, clear entries ranging from one line to one page. Each entry is concise and complete in itself, even though they have been astutely organized into 10 topic clusters ranging from "Stillness & Silence" and "Beyond the Thinking Mind" to "Relationships" and " Suffering & the End of Suffering". Whether read individually, as a topic cluster, or in their totality, these entries take on a Tranformative power that can awaken the reader to Self-Realization, to their true nature.
While spiritually profound, Stillness Speaks is also intensely practical. Eckhart tells us how to be with another in a relationship, which can contain and weather all things, how to "sit" with a dying person, where to find wisdom, how to free ourselves of guilt, and how to control the runaway-thinking mind.
Underneath the words, between them, in the energy of presence conveyed by them, we find the power of Stillness. This vibrantly alive state found only in the here and Now, is one with our Being and the field out of which all "arises".

Gangaji ... born Toni Roberson, grew up in Mississippi. Like many of her contemporaries, she searched for fulfillment through relationships, career, motherhood, political activism and spiritual practicel.
Her search ended in 1990, when she met Sri Poonjaji, a student or Ramana Maharshi, on the banks of the Ganges River, and the floodgates of self-recognition opened.
Today, Gangaji is a teacher and author who travels the world offering her teacher's invitation to fully recognise the absolute freedom and unchanging peace that is the truth of one's being.
NEW -- The Diamond in Your Pocket
“The secret gem of truth has been hidden in the core of your own heart all along. My invitation is to stop all movement of your mind away from truth so that you can discover directly, for yourself, this jewel that is alive within you.” — Gangaji
We are living in an unusual time, a time when ordinary people with limitations and conditioned habits have the opportunity to awaken to self-realization — and not only to awaken, but to stay true to what is real in the face of thoughts, emotions, desires, and other “obstacles” that may arise in consciousness.
This new book from Gangaji points us directly to the diamond of truth that we really are. It offers us clear support in allowing any seeming obstacle to become a conduit for deeper awakening as the diamond is “polished naturally by life itself.”
This book is also available in either hardcover or softcover print editions.

"The revelation of Oneness brings a great peace and rest at the center of our being, but it also opens up an opportunity and an impulse to live and express that revelation in the world of duality. To transcend the world of time and space is not the end of spiritualty but rather the beginning." ~ Adyashanti

"Nothing is more misunderstood in spirituality than enlightenment. By cutting through myths and misinformation you can begin to awaken within yourself the deep inner transformation and revolution that is the living experience of enlightenment. Awakening to enlightenment does not happen to an individual, it happens to and within the very fabric of existence: Life itself wakes up." ~ Adyashanti

John Astin is a nationally recognized researcher in the field of mind-body medicine, whose work has focused on the integration of spiritual practices in healthcare. An internationally known singer and songwriter, he is the author of Too Intimate for Words, a book of contemplative poetry and prose.
If you'd like to hear Adya's voice, here's part of a talk he gave on "Spontaneous Awakening" (2,592KB)
'Falling Awake, Kirtana's latest CD, has recently been released. As is the case with her other CDs, 'Falling Awake' could be described as 'Music for Awakening' or 'Contemporary Sacred'. In Kirtana's own words, the best description for both her music and her purpose in sharing it is to "celebrate divine love and the truth of what we are." Here's a review from Steve Ryals: "Whenever I hear Kirtana sing, I feel as though a warm, jasmine-scented spring wind had begun blowing through my heart. I am so grateful to have been listening to and reviewing her music for nearly 13 years. Each time Kirtana brings out a new album, I am amazed, thinking that she has, once again, jumped straight into the heart of God. Now, with the release of Falling Awake, once again I am delighted to say that Kirtana has created her very best work yet (and that's saying something, given the extraordinary body of work she already has). The music is gorgeous, and her lyrics are transcendently heart-opening. What a gift Kirtana is to this world. For those of you who have yet to experience the sublime grace of Kirtana's music, let me just say that she is a singer-songwriter of vast spiritual depth. Her voice has the ability to open and caress the most broken of hearts. She plays the guitar and ukulele with unobtrusive excellence, writing songs that delight on every level. Her compositions are filled with such love that I find myself transported, again and again, into a light-filled arena where there is only peace. The musicians who accompany Kirtana play piano, cello, violin, bass, drums, keyboards, percussion and some backing vocals with an exquisite artistry that serves to showcase the brilliant jewels of Falling Awake. Though every single track on Falling Awake is well worth your undivided attention, I want to mention a couple of the songs in particular. "Home" is an honoring song, appreciating those who, in spite of having gone through times of great trauma, are able to shine from their core of unconditional love. Bruce Roscoe's violin especially touches my heart, as it does on "A Peaceful World," perhaps my favorite Kirtana song to date. Her clear-eyed look at the world as it is, with all its suffering and chaos, brings tears every time I hear it. Songs of Vasistha are a journey of sound and awareness. Some songs are contemplative and some really rock as the CD explores timeless consciousness.
Although unlike ambient new age music, the Songs of Vasistha can bring the listener into the moment. They are great for meditation or house cleaning, and the last several songs are a portal for dissolving into infinite consciousness, meditative awareness, or sleep.
The "Songs of Vasistha" were inspired by the teachings and stories of Vasistha's Yoga, an ancient Sanskrit text that is described as the earliest work with the highest wisdom of Vedanta, or Jnana yoga. It is the instruction of the Sage Vasistha to Sri Rama as recorded by the poet Valmiki.
In more recent times, this wisdom has been lived by Ramana Maharshi, J. Krishnamurti, and Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. Adyashanti is an extraordinary contemporary teacher in this tradition.
The songs were composed in a few short weeks and were recorded in the high desert of Arivaca, Arizona ~ in the energetic shadow of the sacred mountain Baboquivari. They are performed by the band Kaivaly at the Desert Light Labyrinth in Arivaca, Arizona.
Kaivaly is a transliteration of a Sanskrit word for absolute freedom. Creating this music has been an absolute joy for the band; Mary Scott on vocals and acoustic guitar, Charlie Tucker on lead guitar and bass and Peter Ragan on percussion.
Visit Kaivaly's Web site for complete song lyrics and more.

Folk rock that brings you into the infinite moment; sometimes gently, sometimes with a real moving rhythm, always with a consciousness that cuts through time and space.
A deeply felt prayer for the ears and spirit, performed by Nawang Khechog with Tibetan bamboo flute, didgeridoo, and bells. With long, soothing phrases, this former Tibetan monk invites you to experience the profound interior calm that allows for cultivation of a loving spirit.
Each phrase and note of Sounds of Peace invokes an extraordinary tranquility (one hospital has used it hundreds of times to soothe women in childbirth) and is regarded as a valuable meditation tool itself.
Through this spare, haunting work we become the wind, the clouds, the mountains, the rivers - we become peace. Ten compositions.
Born in Tibet,Nawang Khechog spent his earliest years as the child of nomads. In his boyhood he first learned to play the bamboo flute,an ancient instrument popular in rural villages throughout Tibet. After the brutal subjugation of Tibet by Chinese Communists in 1949,Nawang and his family escaped to India. There he studied meditation and Buddhist philosophy,a path he followed as a monk for eleven years - four of them as a hermit. In 1986,he emigrated to Australia where he first performed, and his recordings achieved bestseller status.

In Steve's words: Grace is the Name of the Game, chants for modern yogis, transcends the norm. It is chanting to illuminate, lighten and uplift those who sing or listen. I have been chanting for many years. I find it's one of the most effective ways to open the heart and still the mind, especially for people in the Western circumstance. All of the chants are ancient names of God, which invoke the presence of the divine. To sing them with devotion is to feel the joy inherent in them. Try it and see for yourself. $39.00
Satsang features un-plugged versions of some of the most popular chants from The Essence and Love is Space (including the Gayatri Mantra, "Chidananda" and "Yemaya Assessu"), plus original songs by Miten ("Empty Heart", "The Strength of a Rose" and more), as well as a bonus studio recording of "All Is Welcome Here". Satsang is a precious offering celebrating the sacred space of silence. Joining Deva Premal (keyboards) and Miten (guitar), are their special musical friends, Kit Walker, Maneesh de Moor, Praful, and others. $29.95
Backed by ambient grooves, subtle electronica and hand percussion, Deva Premal’s transcendent vocals induce ecstatic contemplation. The Gayatri Mantra, the world's oldest known mantra for purification and healing, is the centerpiece for this truly meditative album. $29.95
Love Is Space, Deva Premal's second solo album, contains six sacred mantras from India, including "Gatè Gatè", the heart sutra of Buddha, and "Om Mane Padme Hum", the ancient Tibetan invocation. Also included is the exquisitely performed West African chant, "Idè Werê Werê". $29.95
The result has the drive and rhythm of pop music, with an overarching architecture of mantra-like intonations for meditation. Lyrics tend to be simple, as in the majestic song. Miten says their music's purpose is "to awaken a longing in the heart for that which is omnipresent: the experience of silence and meditation." Songs for the Inner Lover invites repeated listening and achieving that goal. $29.95

SAM BLIGHT
The track, Peter's Garden was inspired by the little Zen garden outside the dojo where satsang and other gatherings are held at Gurukula.
Many of Sam's compositions, he says, have arisen out of a deep sense of Presence, all are played in Presence and the album, he feels, was recorded from that perspective with almost no retakes.
Sam has played guitar since the age of thirteen. His finger style playing has been influenced by the likes of Chet Atkins, Leo Kotke, John Renborne, Richard Thompson, Ralph Towner, Stephan Grossman and his friend Andrew White to name a few. This is finger-style guitar at its finest, inspired by the joy of Being.
